Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre is a community based not for profit organisation. The Centre offers a range of activities including adult education courses, community activities and has a wide range of other functions and services. The Centre caters for people from the surrounding areas including Havercroft, Ryhill, South Hiendley, Hemsworth, Ackworth, Crofton, Walton and other surrounding villages and towns.

The Centre offers a variety of courses to meet the needs of individuals from craft/hobby type courses to courses designed to equip people with the skills to get work or change the type of work they are doing. Individuals enjoy taking part in leisure type courses and to meet socially in a friendly informal setting. The 30 courses on offer range from computers for beginners and other levels, Spanish,Italian conversation, painting for pleasure, health and social care to maths and English with new courses being added on a regular basis. Please follow the Find us menu on the left hand side for directions to the Centre. The Centre works in partnership with other communities in Wakefield including Ryhill, South Hiendley, Fitzwilliam, Kinsley, Hemsworth, Ackworth, South Elmsall, South Kirkby, Crofton, Walton and others and welcomes all who would like to take part from any area.

Further information regarding all courses at Havercroft is available by calling in at the Centre, by telephone or by email. The Reception is open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday. An answering machine is available to leave messages at other times.
